Bang the Drum Faster, Mark

I know I was supposed to love this book. It was a movie, and this is the one of Mark's baseball trilogy that everybody seems to remember and laud. I just liked The Southpaw SO much better. This seemed weirdly disjointed and, despite the premise (sort of a Brian's Song type of deal), it lacked the warmth of the first in the series.
